Mindfulness & Escaping with Music

Hello, friend!

I hope this post finds you and your loved ones are well and healthy in these rather dull and dark times.

Music has always helped me overcome any light depression and anxiety I may face on any given day. I love listening to bhajans (devotional music) and instrumentals! Upbeat tunes are a staple for me with some nice, slow paced music in between.

Bhajan Mandal ft. my OCs (left to right) Chandrasekar, Damodar and Yashodhara 🙂

It’s just really nice to sit back and let your thoughts just flow as you maintain mindfulness by coming back to the music whenever the thoughts go astray or into unpleasant territories. To dance away or to just sit and breathe with the song’s rhythm….

What kind of songs do you like to listen to? And where do you listen to them from (i.e. YouTube, Spotify, etc.)?

I thought I’d share some of my favorite songs with you below! (I mainly use YouTube to create my song playlists)

(Note: I’ll try my best to update these links as much as possible to keep them working! Also, I’m not sponsored or affiliated with any of the artists/ groups whose song’s I’m listing below!)

Artist: Krishna Das; Song: Govinda Hare

Artist: Krishna Das; Song: Township Krishna

Artist: KIRTANIYAS; Song: Radha Ramana Hari Bol

Artist: KIRTANIYAS; Song: Braj Mahamantra

Artist: Bhakti Marga; Song: Hari Bhajana Se

I’d keep listing more and more but I think this is a good list to get started with! There are so many more bhajans by these lovely artists and others that I love and listen to on almost a daily basis.

Have fun listening to these songs! And know things will always get better 🙂

Wishing you good health and a mindful soul…

Peace, my buddy ^.^
