Hey, hey! Oh man, there’s only two more prompts left after this one!
Prompt #4 for Drawtober is Folklore and I decided to get some inspiration from Indian traditions!
In the world of Kanakkhi & Co., the folklore is that the youthful Goddess Durga of the Harvest Season (called also as Katyayani – both names of & based on an actual Goddess from India!) walks through the fields in the early morning light, making the crops grow all golden and healthy! Her radiance in the sunrise is what lends the crops their golden aura.
In India, there are a lot of small shrines dedicated to Goddess Durga especially in villages and in South India, there are tiny shrines dedicated to Her in almost every street! They also call Her as Amman, or Divine Mother in a more close and casual way.
Happy Navaratri! And peace be with you ^.^
